CTR stands for Click Through Rate, or “percentage of clicks.”
We often find it in articles dealing with Social Media Marketing and online advertising campaigns.
The Click Through Rate is a very important indicator because it allows us to see how many times our posts, or campaigns, have been clicked on.
More specifically, CTR measures the ratio of clicks received, to impressions (views) of a given item.
Therefore, this indicator allows us to understand whether our content has achieved its intended goal. In fact, the higher the CTR value, the better our element will be considered to perform.
It is calculated by a simple mathematical formula:
(Click / Impression) x 100 = CTR (percentage value)
Let’s take an example:
(100 clicks / 1000 impressions) x 100 = 10%.
In this case, we can make a point. The 10% of users who viewed our post clicked on it.
In addition to being a useful tool for us to evaluate the performance of one of our campaigns, it is also useful for improving our search engine rankings.
In fact, Google takes into account the value of our CTR to judge our content. And based on the result, it will evaluate us, assigning us a certain score.
In conclusion, our Click Through Rate can offer us an excellent opportunity to improve our Web Marketing performance. So let’s not take this tool for granted; rather, let’s make the best use of it to increase our business.
