I would like with these lines to tell about my experience with Factory Communication and, more generally, with what is called the web-marketing (I confess in any case that I am not an expert in either the web world or marketing).

I would also like to point out that what I am reporting is my personal experience: utmost sincerity on all points.

I am a lawyer and have been practicing since 2003 when I was not even 30 years old.

Clients came by word of mouth or public defenses.

I entered the business world without being able to rely on a family tradition, and my firm-the Firm of Lawyer Giuseppe Maria de Lalla-is the first and only one with that name.
I personally founded it.

The early days were also absolutely tough because in a city like Milan, the competition is so tight.

As I said, I would rely on word of mouth from customers and wait for them to contact me.

By the way, I have always dealt with criminal law i.e., a field in which it is rather difficult to think of getting “publicity.”

As is often the case, when I least expected it (and didn’t even think about it) a friend with a cleaning company told me that after putting his company’s site online, business had skyrocketed by advising me to put a site dedicated to my firm online.

It really seemed to me to be an unnecessary initiative and one that did not fit in with my profession in any way.

Perhaps it might have been fine for an enterprise or business; that is. But – I thought – not to the legal profession.

I used to tell myself: this is how it has worked since Cicero’s time!!!

Today I say: fortunately the dear friend insisted by even showing me some…. “practical evidence.”

By typing “milan cleaning company” or “milan cleaning” into google, the first result was his company.

He argued by saying-rightly-that this was a 24-hour disclosure and that by now (we were, if I remember correctly, in 2010) everyone was looking for almost everything on the Web.

I must say that I was resisting it, which also made sense to me because of the tradition of my profession as well as my mentality and natural fear of change.

At some point, however, I told myself that I didn’t have that much to lose and that maybe it was worth a try.

What could I have lost out on? A little bit of money. Not even a lot.

I decided, therefore, to contact Donato and Factory Communication who had already taken care of my very dear friend.

I was and to some extent still am a perfect illiterate or near illiterate (today I have improved!!) of the web world and I was afraid that Donato would not be able to explain himself, me to understand all the way and in turn that I would have difficulty in conveying my needs.

The procedure was quick: Donato came to me, understood what I was asking, and we got to work.

I had to write the texts (a long and demanding but necessary work that must be constant over time).

He took the photos and styled the site (simple and clear).

After it went online, he took care of its promotion on the web, and I began to publish interventions continuously under his direction and supervision.

The site has radically changed the way I work.

I am not only referring to marketing and customer implementation (I will talk about this later).

I refer to the vision of my activity as a service rendered to the citizen with the need and desire to convey my passion and preparation. With the intention of disseminating a message of information freely visible to all with news that is always up-to-date.

The need to write the texts and to offer – effectively – legal assistance that was different from my competitors, prompted me to embark on a path of updating, deepening and specializing (since the site has been online I have earned two forensic masters and two specializations in the legal field in addition to having given several lectures).

In addition, the site has CONCRETELY AND SENSITIVELY increased its customer base.

This is an incontrovertible and numerically proven fact.

There has been a multiplication of contacts and work opportunities that were completely unthinkable for me.

I have no intention of reporting untrue data or giving a message – in turn ! – marketing for Factory Communication.

The real fact is that I could never have had as much work as I do now if I had limited myself to word of mouth.

As it stands today (almost ten years after my firm’s site went online), my work is 80 percent based on clients who first surfed the Web and found the site www.studiolegaledelalla.it.

The site has changed the way I work and my work.

I am extremely grateful to Donato, who has been following me efficiently and, I would say, for many years, with friendly care (and of course I am equally grateful to my friend!!).
