Remember if you want to grow your restaurant you have to value your products and therefore menu plate descriptions are essential.
In this article I cover a simple but extremely important topic. The value of the description of the Products we place on menus.
If you have a restaurant, pizzeria, sandwich shop, bar, or cold table, you have surely prepared a list or menu of your products.
This article is aimed just at you and explains how to enhance your products more to make them more appealing to your Customers.
How do I attract new Customers? How do I introduce my Products once the potential customer has entered my Restaurant or Pizzeria?
The answer is simple and a key element for Restaurant Marketing strategies.
If we do not give care and value to our Dishes, how can the consumer?
Product description:Why is it important?
My work as CEO of Factory Communication Agency, which deals with Marketing, Communication, Web & Social Media Strategy is extremely articulated and demanding.
On average, I work about 80 hours a week. But one thing I never give up. The pleasures of the table.
And so it is that, one of the items that weighs the most in the personal budget is Food & Beverage. On average I go to the Restaurant, Pizzeria etc. 4/5 times a week.
And this article was born out of this “important” personal experience.
In 80 percent of the venues I have been to, attention to the presentation of one’s restaurant offerings is extremely meager, not to say worse.
And I assure you that it is not a “Type of Local” issue. That is, how much you are willing to spend.
I have encountered this problem both in fast food restaurants and in many, shall we say, well-positioned restaurants.
The menus are devoid of pictures. In many cases the photographs are of such low quality that I would recommend removing them.
Photos and descriptions of the dishes are so poor, you feel like going out and trying another place.
If you continue reading you will discover why it is critical to describe your product, providing useful information to your potential buyers.

Do you want to increase the average contrino? Take care of the description of menu dishes
The menu is the fundamental element of your Local. How can you not give it the proper attention?
How is it possible for the pages to be dirty or creased? If the menu is not appealing it makes it difficult to pitch your dishes. So sell.
I often say that it is like having a Taxi, but not having the money to put gasoline in it.
It doesn’t make sense. Save on many things, but don’t do it on the presentation of your dishes.
Writing a catchy, detailed description will enhance your offer and let your potential customer know that you do everything with the utmost care.
Create a valuable, information-rich menu with beautiful images that, just by looking at them, make you hungry.
You will see that the average receipt of your restaurant or pizzeria, will increase in value. Essentially you will do more business. Not only that.
Your customer will probably speak highly of you and your venue, the famous word-of-mouth, and this will allow you to improve conversion rates and increase sales.
Want to grow your restaurant’s revenue? Use story telling
Are you still in doubt?
Do you think the name “Panino al Crudo” accompanied by its ingredients “Parma ham – fior di latte di Agerola – tomato – salad – extra virgin olive oil and salt” is sufficient?
Of “Crudo sandwiches” the world is full.
What is the difference between your “Crudo Sandwich” and that of a competitor standing a few meters away from you?
Where are the product features?
What can you or, rather, should you do? What can be your strengths?
Description of menu dishes: uses story telling
First, give your sandwich a distinctive and succulent name; use a gourmet dish description.
“Raw Sandwich” could become “Tasty Raw,” what do you say helps customers make a decision?
What if the description of the ingredients should become:
“Our Gustosissimo al Crudo first of all you taste it with your eyes. The fragrant dough of the bread, the heady scent of Parma Ham tickling the palate.
The triptych of colors entrusted to the tasty fior di latte from Agerola, the green of the salad and the passion red of our tomatoes. In Gustosissimo al Crudo nothing is left to chance.
A pinch of salt and the veil of extra virgin olive oil, complete in the round this fragrant and inimitable taste experience.”
What do you say? Don’t you feel like eating it? At this point match it with a “juicy” photograph and you’re done.
P.s. a note. Factory Communication in 2017 generated over 4,500,000 euros in revenue for our Clients in the Catering field. What do you say, interesting?
