X (formerly Twitter)

X, formerly known as Twitter, is a social networking and microblogging platform.

It allows users to share short text messages, images, and videos in real time.

Founded in 2006 as Twitter and acquired by Elon Musk in 2022, the platform was renamed X in 2023, introducing numerous changes in name, logo, and functionality.

Users can publish posts called “tweets” (now simply “posts”) with a maximum limit of 280 characters, follow other profiles as “followers,” and interact through likes, comments, and retweets.

X is distinguished by its direct and official tone, often used for comments, announcements, and public discussions.

The platform can be accessed via app or website and offers both free features and paid plans for advanced features.
