We can only achieve goals in a win-win situation
Snatching a contract with the maximum discount, taking advantage of the supplier’s weaknesses, is never a win-win. It is a defeat for both parties!
In life you can get everything you want if you help other people get what they want.
Hilary Hinton Ziglar better known as Zig Ziglar
Today’s reflection is definitely challenging. Almost more inherent to personal behavior than related to the purely work-related sphere.
I am a great believer in the “ZEN” philosophy in the business world.
To use markettarian terms, I would venture to say that Goal is made, when one is in a win-win situation, that is, both sides win.
In a negotiation, only one side cannot win.
If a company, or a professional, signs a contract that is decidedly inconvenient for themselves but that they have an urgency or need to sign, the result can never be good.
If those on the other side, are convinced that they got a bargain because they snatched a super discount by taking advantage of the circumstances, they are wrong. He has lost, too.
Because the company or professional will probably fail to deliver a product/service that conforms 100% to customer requirements.
Also, when the client contacts the company or professional again for assistance or an update, the roles may reverse. Then ouch.
Furthermore, my experience leads me to say, with total and absolute certainty, that if you act correctly, without taking advantage of situations, you have created a very strong positive energy in the cosmos.
I think this is the right way to cooperate, plus history is cyclical.
If you maintain a fair and balanced behavior, sooner or later this fairness of yours will be recognized.
The Win Win Relationship: Your Marketing Consultant is your best ally
What kind of entrepreneur are we?
This reflection has as its initial cue a paragraph from the book “The Joy of Living” by Vittorino Andreoli.
On the scales of contention, on the one hand a healthy and sometimes exaggerated optimism that leads us to blindly believe in the future almost leading us to immobility. On the other an exaggerated propensity for pessimism that can lead us to an exaggerated and unconscious hyperactivity.
And that’s how I took it to the Marketing and Business level and wondered what the right attitude might be.
On the other hand, as always, the truth lies in the middle. And taking away the extremes, I believe that a mix of healthy optimism and concrete pessimism allow us to take a detached view of our business, making us appreciate its human aspects as well.
Simply translated, pessimism allows us to look at our Business, the Communication Plans we make, the Marketing Strategies we put in place, with the right distance that allows us to understand whether the path we are on is the right one or not.
On the other hand, optimism allows us to maintain the boldness that, if it were not there, would not allow us to have the courage to plan new investments and do what Entrepreneurs are asked to do every day: to do business, to take risks, to invest, to believe in the future, and thus build new services, products and companies.
We should have the ability to properly and judiciously mix these two ingredients, lest extreme optimism even lead us in the opposite direction.
Assured that everything will be fine, we do nothing.
Parithetically, pessimism, may cause us to generate a hyperactive spiral, fearing that the actions we are taking, are not enough to maintain our business and achieve our goals.
Perhaps making, and maintaining, an accurate business plan gives us a better view of the present, and a better analysis of the future.
I firmly believe in the value of numbers and that mathematics is the basis of the Universe.
Adopting this solution based on calculation, statistics, and percentages allows me to live optimistically negatively in the present.
Dear entrepreneur do you believe in win win? I wish I could help you!
Dear Entrepreneur, I can only help your Company and Business if you are willing to listen to me.
I must say that for the past 3 years the words evolution and change have been my daily mantra.
A constant quest in understanding my mission on this Earth.
Because each of us has a mission. Then you can decide to embrace it and pursue it, or not.
It’s that little voice I hear in the evening before I fall asleep, and in the morning as soon as I wake up.
Why are you here? What is the contribution you want to make to society? How can you positively influence the lives of the people you come in contact with?
These are all questions that I have never been able to give a precise answer to.
I had the big picture, but I could not grasp the detail.
I could not define, really, the subject of my painting. Reason why, over the years, I redrew it 10/100/1000 times.
He was there, looking at me. I could tell I was on the right track, but then there was always one detail, one element missing.
Detail and element that I began to focus on with participation in OSM’s Mind Business School courses.
Management courses, where first isEthics and your life, then how to do the right business.
There. There my attention gained a different perception and focus.
I realized I was on the right track.
Today I got confirmation of this and in the most unexpected way.
Since last year, Factory Communication, an agency I founded a couple of years ago, has become a HubSpot Platform Partner.
After the screening process that allowed us to pass selection and become, thus, Partners, training began.
HubSpot is a leader inInbound Marketing and Sales Process Management, also referred to as the Sales Funnel.
Initially I thought they were simply tools and methodologies to better retain contacts and then gradually turn them into customers.
If you have reached this point in the article, you may be wondering what the point of all this is.
What’s my point?
Soon said.
The little voice, that little voice that keeps haunting me, magically materialized today during a HubSpot class.
Title: Define Your Company’s Purpose.
This same topic was also the subject of reflection and study during the Mind Business School.
But you are not always ready to receive and understand.
Sometimes you think you have understood, focused, assimilated but you have simply listened.
In fact, during an MBS session I had written the Corporate Mission, but I could see that something was still missing.
Today everything is clear to me.
The purpose of my life, which also becomes the purpose of my Agency, is to improve companies by helping them evolve.
Clearly this passes, first of all, in helping the Entrepreneur.
As they say, “the fish stinks from the head.” If the Leader of the Company does not change the way of thinking, no one in the company will ever change.
All focused in the area of Communication and Strategic Marketing. These are clearly my skills and what I love to do.
“Okay Cremonesi, but who cares what you decided to do. I wasted five minutes reading this article thinking you could help me.”
And that’s exactly right. I can help you, dear Entrepreneur.
On one condition. That you are willing to listen to me, and practice what I tell you!
If you have arrived at Factory Communication’s site and previously visited the sites of other Marketing and Communication Agencies, it means you are looking for something.
You probably want to improve sales. You want to increase margins. You want to change your Marketing and Communication Strategy.
Or, more simply, things are not going as they should, and you need help.
Here, this is really my mission.
That is why I indicate a condition. If you are not willing to listen to me, to practice what I tell you, I cannot help you.
If I cannot help you, it is not right for me to work for and with you.
I could not make a difference for you and I would not achieve my “life purpose.”
Have a great day
Donato Cremonesi
